From the book, Would You Rather? by John Burnigham
Okay. I get the message (via the low “read rate” of my last two posts. People don’t want to hear negative stuff. (This does not mean I am at all changing my stance on thinking!)
Would you rather I post something happy? Hmmm….let’s see. We didn’t lose power during the gale force winds on Sunday. This was good.
I bought new black boots from Free People and I just love them! I am a total boot-a-holic.
I am almost finished reading The New Jim Crow and I highly recommend it.
I watched the final episodes of Cobra Kai on Netflix and it kicked ass! I loved it! The character arcs for the main (originals from Karate Kid) were wonderful. Tune in. You won’t be sorry.
The head of all the PX’s (Post Exchange for my non-BRAT readers) is reading my book to consider carrying it in all the PX’s throughout American Military Installations around the world! (I initiated this-my PR team is “done” with their campaign.)
I have on new jeans today and they fit perfectly!
Okay, is that enough “happy” for you to “heart” my piece and get you back to reading Route to Rise? Thank you all for reading and for supporting my writing. I will never charge for it. Just doesn’t seem right to do on a free platform. Hey, that’s just me. Others feel differently, and that’s their prerogative. (Why do I hear Bobby Brown singing in my head now?)
Drop me a line. Tell me something happy.
I maybe the first to drop a heart, I appreciate the both/and. Been feeling a bit negative myself lately, state of the world, freezing cold, ice everywhere and this morning I went for a walk with the dog, who is definitely not team winter. We watched the cardinals skitter on the ice and the sun allow the snow to sparkle, definitely positives. 🥶
Attending a rally yesterday with my almost 90 yo mother and a few hundred people in my unincorporated town was very uplifting. Lots of supportive honking and waving from drivers.
