I detest running errands. If I was rich, I would have an assistant who would do all the yucky necessary “To Do’s” for me. But, I am not rich and it’s pretty much looking like I’m never going to be. I have to sweeten the day with something and today, I decided to gather a few colorful leaves from the driveway.
This leaf…with this interesting hole caught my eye. What created this hole? Was this a whole meal for them? Why did they start in the middle and not on the edge? Does the middle of a maple leaf taste better than the edges? What secrets does this mystery nibbler know, that I do not (and probably never will)?
Isn’t that so cool? And look at the way the colors meld, blur into one another! The edges of this leaf make me wonder what it looked like disengaging from the tree and making its way to our driveway. How did it know when it was time to let go?
How do you know when it is time to “let go”? Let me know your thoughts below. There is no “right or wrong” way to answer…there’s just your way.
As a kid I wouldn't eat the crust of a slice of bread. Now I do. Whatever just ate the leave in the middle doesn't realize what was missed.😀
Typically, something must be wrenched from me. I don’t know that I am particularly good at the art of letting go.
