Pantyhose filled with sand in the toes and hanging from the ceiling. After standing there for a good solid 5 minutes to assess the true nature of its meaning, I would wander off to determine if it was meant to be funny or significant to the human race… This analytical thinking from someone who dressed up as a Brillo pad for a dance performance in the 1970s!!!

You are more mature than I! I could not get past how funny the little movement from the wind made the legs move. It just struck a chord in my giggle tummy that I couldn't stop. I do appreciate that you would, in fact, take the time to assess the nature of the meaning. I will need to hear more about the Brillo Pad! (Very Andy Warhol) Thank you for reading my piece.

Yes, of course! That is so great. It gave me a morning giggle-just the thing to start my day.

Mary a few years ago we went to Minneapolis. We went to the Walker Art Gallery. One of the exhibits was in the little room. The exhibit was the following video (I’ll put a link) and my kids and hubby were so embraced with my roaring laughter. My favorite part was the ‘knife’. Please let me know your thoughts! https://youtu.be/ZuZympOIGC0

Yikes! The "Zorro" move at "Z" was kind of terrorizing. Yeah, I know it's "Performance Art" but I do not gravitate toward it. I mean, the "Chopper" was so LOUD. I would have to have left the room with you in absolute laughter. Yeah, yeah, a commentary on the drudgery of housework delegated to women, and it's 2023 and it's STILL delegated to women.

I’d be so mad because the sand would probably get on me and I feel the same way about sand as I do about glitter!

Ahhh...the glitter aversion. I think it is very cool that we all have different reactions. All of them are authentic, real, and you know I appreciate that you read my piece too!

Perhaps the sand should be kitty litter...better for absorbing smells!

Maybe the title of the "piece" was "Walking on Air"

Oh, you art appreciator you. Ha/ha I think my sense of humor is just never going to "grow up." If I had witnessed this with you and Goodge, I don't know if I would have made it to the car without laughing.

I would laugh rather loudly--and hope that the creator of the piece considers that a compliment. I mean, art is created to induce a reaction, right? And laughing, as long as it's not jeering, is a pretty positive one!

You know, that really is one way to look at it! I hadn't thought of that. I didn't want to hurt whomever's feelings who created it. I assumed it "meant" something to them, and I was just too immature to understand. Thank you for reading my piece!

I would totally be cracking up! I'm not even sure I'd have your self control to wait until I was in my car! I guess art is what it is to each person. I've seen art that I think to myself, my dog or cat could have done this and maybe they can earn thousands of dollars. Of course that would never happen (to me).

Reading your comment made me laugh so hard. (You have a great laugh, so I heard it in my head as I read your comment). Yes, I guess art is what it is to each person. Thank you for reading my piece!
