Today I was browsing at used furniture at a habitat for humanity store. A woman approached me and began to share that there was another location with an even bigger inventory. I was surprised with her taking the time to share this tidbit of information, when she could’ve easily walked by and continued her own shopping! That was my “sisterhood” moment. I miss you, Mary, and thinking about you.

"Sisterhood Moment" Yes!! Taking time to share, to connect, to share in the joys and the sorrows. Thank you, sweet Jocelind. I miss you too and we will share that warm cup of tea. The numbness is wearing off and I kind of wish it didn't, because now the great sadness is here.

I feel two emotions simultaneously when reading this piece - sadness for what you're going through with the loss of your mom, and happiness at your upcoming publication. Life is such a balancing act!

Isn't it? (a balancing act) Small things hit me...like Mom never being able to experience another Spring again. Then, I remember how pleased she would be at my pursuing my writing dreams. Thank you Wendy, for reading my piece.
