Hearts all the way from me, Mary! ♥️♥️♥️

Really excited that you've had your memoir's publication date confirmed - that's brilliant news!

And keep at it - you'll get there! Being excited about something is half the battle. This is what you said:

"It is a Rom-Com, and I have to say, I love it! I have never written in this genre, and the freedom of making this up, like dialog, action, crisis, getting back together, etc., was beyond freeing."

Well, if you keep putting words like this out there about it it's going to surely hit the mark! ♥️♥️♥️

First of all, huge congratulations on your upcoming publication! That is huge, and all the rejections in the world can't hold a candle to it. Second, those Twitter pitch events are crazy because who knows which agents actually saw your pitch? There are so many pitches streaming in every minute that chances are quite small anyone will even see it before it gets lost in the feed. Take "heart" from that!

Congratulations on the publication of your memoir! I am so happy for you! Persistence. Persistence. Persistence. Years ago I was at a convention in which Stephen Covey spoke and he was fabulous. (The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People) Something he reiterated was never giving up. He listed several writers, musicians, actors, etc. in the public eye who had received numerous rejections, many to the point of almost quitting. But they didn’t and it changed their lives forever.

I totally get your hesitancy to record your voice to express your feelings of disappointment. Talking while feeling your deep emotions of any kind is a voice-cracking or even voice-vanishing experience! But you are shedding a bit of the hurt each day and each time you share your thoughts about the experience.
