Thank you for sharing this beautiful photo, Mary! I was amazed upon seeing the beauty in it in your pic and I can only imagine what it was like to see it in person! I have never seen nor heard of a circumhorizontal arc before, so I also appreciate the link you attached in your newsletter. I wrote a long post earlier this day about the incomprehensible horror taking place in Israel today. I have a friend who lives in Israel and she has been sharing posts that include pictures & descriptions of many individuals who have been killed there so that these people aren’t just considered numbers. I am going to share your photo with her. We all need to see beauty in life right now.
We don’t always know why we are supposed to see the things we do in life, but when we are able to recognize the beauty in them, as you do, we hold them in our heart. I believe we are all connected in life. Like everyone, I have been struggling every day with what is happening in Israel. Having my friend living there and seeing the photos and stories she shares throughout the day have made me feel helpless in trying to comfort her. Yesterday I was wishing I had something, anything, to give her a moment of peace, if just for a moment. And then your photo came into my feed and I had my answer. In you sharing the beauty you witnessed yesterday, you gave me something beautiful in this world right now to share with her. Yes, we are all connected in life. Again, thank you, Mary. And thank you for holding Judy in your heart. It means a lot to me. ❤️
Absolutely stunning, Mary! Have you heard of the Cloud Appreciation Society? I'm sure they'd love to see that pic! I've seen what I call 'cloudbows' before, but nothing of that shape or size. 🌈
Wow-I love that! "The Cloud Appreciation Society" I didn't take the photo as I was driving. I just wanted to find one so my readers would be able to see something like what I saw.
Mary, what a beautiful sight to behold! I am always in awe of rainbows and stop to marvel at their beauty. My “look up” occurs while I take my daily walks on my lunch break at work. I’ve discovered that I love looking at leaves—the color (especially during autumn), patterns, and, what I like to call “add ons”. The add ons can be berries, blooms, or little dangly things I don’t have a name for. But they tickle me every time I walk by and see them. Of course, I say “hello” to my mighty maple tree (so full and grand). I walk to it’s trunk, put my hand on the thick bark, and tell her I love her beauty and to stay strong. I love looking up!
Ah yes, the mighty maple. I love to pieces that you say hello to her and put your hand on her trunk. That is so, so powerful. I giggled so delightfully at your description of the "add ons." Now, I will look for them too! Thank you.
Mary, thanks for sharing. What a connection this writing has to my yesterday experience. ❤️ My partner and I were driving along the interstate on Thursday and as I was looking out the window lo and behold there was a rainbow 🌈 in the clouds like the one you described. I was astounded by its beauty, and had never seen this before. I was able to watch the rainbow ( I was not driving. ) until it disappeared. Enjoy this gift of today, and keep looking up. ❤️
Mother Nature's canvas! The sky is beautiful, majestic, inspiring , ominous, terrifying, peaceful and soothing. A mirror of life in general!
So very well said!

It was a heart stopping moment. I truly felt like I was supposed to see it. I have no idea why. I am holding your friend in my heart.

Oh, that is so cool!!! I'm so glad you got to experience it too. Yes, I will keep looking up. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful picture! I don't believe I've ever seen a rainbow like that before.
Thank you, Wendy. I must say that I did not take the photo. (I was driving). Isn't it incredible though? That is what it looked like.
