One and a Half Years of Wandering
One and a half years! That’s how long our Feral Fur Baby has been “missing” from her “owners.” We found that out at her recent Vet Visit and they scanned her for a chip. She is only two years old. The report said that the wife stated that the husband “may have let her out on purpose, but she didn’t know for sure.” WHAT???? I do not think they deserve this loving soul.
Little baby is malnourished (as per her blood work), but the good news is, now that we know how old she is (young) she has a much better chance of recuperating than if she were older.
She potentially has worms, so we get to administer a liquid anti-parasitic for three days. Lucky her. It starts Monday. Dear god, thinking about forcing her mouth open to syringe in yucky tasting medicine makes my heart skip beats from anxiety. I don’t want to traumatize her. Since the vet visit, she has been very skittish, poor baby!
Changing the subject, but updating you, my readers, I still have had no luck connecting with anyone on the return of The Army Wife book to the DeAmaral family. The Army Times did not get back to me. The representative from The Presidio did not get back to me. I sent the story to NPR thinking they might be able to help me get this precious memento back to the family, but have not heard back from them. I will keep researching and trying. I will get this book back to the family.
How are all of you? Tell me something you’re working on. It can be anything. I love other people’s stories! Thank you for reading mine.
What a cutie!
I am writing (attempting to write) a story for our descendant newsletter. This is hard! As is typical for most newsletters, the story should be reasonably brief. Right? Well, I find myself wanting to include every detail—I’m up to two typewritten pages! This will not do. I will have to whittle it down to an appropriate size, while still maintaining the impact of the story! Suggestions are very, very welcome. P.S., Kiss kitty for me! ❤️
