“I just want to keep going forward and when I fall back, I want to get up, dust off my jeans, check for wear and tear, and keep moving forward again.” - I LOVE this so much and will write it down to keep close for the coming year. I want to keep moving forward and deal with the lumps and bumps along the way!

Happy New Year! 🎉

Happy New Year, Susi! Ahhh, those lumps and bumps-truth be told I'd love not to have them, but that's not realistic, is it? May we have success in our forward movement.

I am a bookworm. I resolve to get back to this part of myself in 2023. Doing what I love--reading!

Ahh...books. I too am a bookworm. Right now, I have three going: Show Your Work, Morpho, and Baldwin's Essays. I love that resolve to get back to the thing you love! More Spaghetti I Say!

My core self is “peace”. I need (and want) peace at home, my job, driving to and from work, under the giant redwood trees, and on a quaint tropical island! For me, peace is mostly calm and quiet, with soothing music in the background, the birds chirping merrily, or just plain quietness! I seem to strive for peace with each new year, and what I find are pockets of peaceful moments (or a new appreciation for those moments). Oh, and I happen to really, really like brunch! Let’s go together!

You are Peace. I wish for more Peaceful Moments for you. And yes, let's go to Brunch! More of what we love, of what feeds us!

That's awesome.....if when you dust off your jeans they're the same size as you wore in high school. Some of us weren't so lucky in the gene department to be able to fit into those same jeans so sometimes resolutions are made that involve denial. Short term, always, because long term denial never works.

I'm glad of your resolution to travel. Hope you can come see me in a place you've never been before, whether it be FL or NC.

And yes, be your own boss. I do not like being told what to do, either. Probably why I never succeeded in corporate America.

Wishing you the best new year.

It's just my take on Resolutions. My opinion here as always. It's what works for me. What works for me, may not work for others. I give myself the gift of time now-time to accept the things I'm not ready for yet, time to get there, or the permission to change course. I too wish you the best new year! In my experience, deprivation and denial lead to overindulgence and backsliding. My question to myself is "What's working for me? What do I need/want more of?" As for jeans size...they're just clothes. If they fit my body, all is good. If they don't, I ditch them and find some that do. When I was younger, (teen/20-something) I was so harsh with myself. No more.
