MARY!!! Never have I read anything so beautiful - I’m in absolute BITS!!! Such a great story - so sad, so happy, so joyful, so poignant. I’m so sorry that you’re missing Delilah, but gosh. Just gosh. I’m so glad she found her way home, BUT also that she’d found a home with you; the home she’d needed right then. Sending hugs hugs hugs.
Rebecca, thank you. Yes, finding her way home...we were the way to that for her, but we did not know it. Our hearts have grown, been broken, and piecing them back together with the knowledge that our temporary shelter and love helped Delilah find what she needed most.
Just awww
Oh, those kitties, just make their way into our hearts, don't they.
You and Sylvie Bugs have so much love and compassion in your hearts. I love you both so much!
Thank you, Sweet soul. I love you and Megs so deeply and dearly too.
Oh wow. What a story! I hope, she makes it through. 💕
Thank you, Susi! We do too. We will never know, but hold out belief that she will.
Wow, what a heart-wrenching--and heart-warming story. How wonderful that she found her owner at last. And also how wonderful that you got her there.
Thank you, Wendy. Yes, to be reunited with the one who loved you first and to feel safe is the most healing place to be, isn't it?
Yes! It's such a sweet thought to think of that little kitty feeling that sort of happiness again, even if it's not for long.

What a sweet, sad, and happy story! You made me cry and smile at the same time. It’s amazing what animals do to our emotions.
Thank you, Sheri. That is so true! I am still crying and smiling too. I like to picture Delilah with a deep, deep peace in finding her way home.
