Click on the link above (if you want to feel joy-if you are determined to feel miserable-don’t do it!!) When I hear music, where ever I am, I find that I begin to walk in rhythm to it! Do you do that? Does that happen to you?
When my daughter was little, and we’d be grocery shopping, she’d just start dancing in the middle of the aisle. It was ADORABLE! And you know what, I would start dancing too…why did we both stop doing that?
I have decided to begin this again…and I am also going to sing along to songs in stores, that I LOVE! Why aren’t we all dancing? Why aren’t we all singing? What would happen if we all just gave into the rhythm? Joy….that’s what would happen. I’m convinced of it.
Why do we wait till we are alone in the car to sing along? Oh, don’t stop doing that by the way. It’s one of my favorite activities. I was belting out, “Growing Up” (Bruce Springsteen) the other day-it was fabulous!
A few weeks ago, I was driving to my weekly therapy, and it was a warm day, so of course I had my windows down, and at a stop light, I heard a Led Zeppelin song. I expected to see a young person at the wheel and it was an old lady! Then I realized that I too am the “old lady” blasting the music. So funny.
What songs just bring you to sing so loud, that you can’t contain yourself? Include a link if you want, so that I can sing along! I Wish-Stevie Wonder
With Sirius radio in our car I have many options. Rock and soul primarily!
There are a few I belt out anytime they come on. For me- these are songs I love and I think I also love them because I could still hear, and understand, the words LOL.
Mine are (in no particular order):
True Colors (Cyndi Lauper)
I will always love you (Whitney Houston)
Because you Loved me (Celine Dion)
Don't Worry Be happy (my dad's favorites)
I'm too Sexy (my dad's favorites)
