I drown out my monkey mind with music. It is the only thing that affirms, calms, and blasts endorphins into a frenzy for me.
I am a person of strong emotions. I believe in feeling down and reveling in the truth of that.
I think to “look for the silver lining/ and lesson” all the time is just wrong. It is okay to feel devastated, to cry so many tears that you create your own ocean.
It is also important to revel in the happy and incredible when it presents itself. And at that moment, you drag your metaphoric kayak out and place it in the ocean of your tears. Then, you begin paddling and soon find yourself ecstatic, joined by the awe of nature, the wonder of your strength and resilience. Your life, your way because no one controls you.
You know what I’m talking about. You know whom I am talking about. You understand that no one takes your life, your destiny from you. They will try…they will seek to drag you into their mediocrity and sludge, but you are a light that may dim at times but is brilliant in its ability to lead you forward.
And this is a Playlist for the pendulation of emotions: What are your songs for the back and forth of life? Tell me below, please.
